Executive Director, Quality Insights Renal Network 5

Brandy Vinson serves as the Executive Director of Quality Insights Renal Network 5, the federally designated End Stage Renal Disease Network contractor for Network 5 (Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia). In this capacity, she supervises daily operations, assures the quality and timeliness of all network products and services.  Brandy identifies and manages partnerships with other renal stakeholders like Patient-Centered Outcomes Institute (PCORI), Medical Technology and Practice Patterns Institute (MTPPI), and Coalition of Supportive Care for Kidney Patients.  In addition, she oversees Quality Insights’ 5 Diamond Patient Safety Program, a national online educational program designed to assist dialysis facilities in improving staff and patient awareness of patient safety topics.

Brandy has 18 years of ESRD Network experience, having served as the Quality Improvement Director for Network 5 and Project Manager for the Fistula First Breakthrough Initiative prior to being named as Executive Director to Network 5 in 2017. 

Before joining Quality Insights, Brandy worked for Johnson & Johnson in their pharmaceutical sales department.

Brandy earned a bachelor of business administration from Radford University and a graduate certificate in project management from the University of Virginia. She serves on the Forum of ESRD Networks’ Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Executive Director Council.
