No, organizations may only submit one application.

How will my organization be notified if we receive a grant?
Quality Insights will notify grantees via email by August 15, 2023. Additionally, grantees will be listed on the Quality Insights website.

When is the grant application due?
The grant application is due on June 30, 2023, at 2 p.m. EST. We advise that you submit as soon as possible in case of submission errors.

Is mental health care something that would fall under the criteria associated with this grant?
As long as it falls within one of those eligible category area focused areas that we have identified in the grant information section, then it would be allowable.

So this more or less applies to long-term care, educational institutions, and not really private practice?
You need to be a nonprofit or an educational institution to be eligible to apply.

The section that asks for references, is that for organization references or project lead references?
The references are for organization references.

With regard to the references, are we just to provide the contact, organization, and additional information requested? Or does the individual also need to provide a written reference to accompany our application?
You will just need to provide contact information and information requested on the form. No reference letters necessary here. If your grant application advances in the review process, we may reach out to your references.

What should I name my grant application?
You can name your grant application whatever you’d like. A good description of what your organization is seeking funding for would work.

Can a for-profit organization apply?
No, our grant program is strictly for non-profit organizations and educational institutions.

What types of projects are eligible?
Projects should focus on one or more of our three priority areas: provider care, grassroots, and education and research. For full details, visit this section of our grant information page.

My organization didn't receive the grant. Is there an appeal process?
Awards are at the sole discretion of Quality Insights. All decisions are final, and there is no appeal process.

Can Federally Qualified Health Care Centers apply?
Yes, Federally Qualified Health Care Centers are eligible, as long as the funding is going to support a project independent from general operating expenses and is not serving as matching funds for another grant program.

Are companies eligible for this grant?
Grants are available to nonprofits and educational institutions. The nonprofit or educational institution would need to be the grantee (prime filling out the application and signing the grant agreement), but partnerships are allowed. The partner organization would need to be included as a consultant or vendor (and don’t need to be nonprofit or educational institutions). The partner organization can also work with the grantee organization without being part of the budget on an in-kind arrangement.

Are state agencies excluded from this grant opportunity?
Yes, they are excluded. We are really looking for nonprofits or educational institutions to apply.

Does the nonprofit need to be registered in GuideStar or Charity Navigator and will their rating be considered?
No. There's no requirement to be registered in either of those databases.

Can a 501c4 apply?
A 501c4 would be able to submit. The key provision in the grant is that the applicant be nonprofit, and that qualifies.

Can a national organization apply?
We suggest your organization apply if you can demonstrate how the grant funding will directly impact the states in the eligible states and territories. They include: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Can I revise my application?
Yes, you are able to revise your application until the deadline of June 30, 2023, at 2 p.m. EST.

Is there a page limit word count on the application section?
We're looking for what succinctly and best explains your project. Voluminous applications don't have a better chance of being awarded than smaller applications. You could fit something into 3 to 5 pages could be as effective as something that's 10 or 20 pages.

I tried to register my grant account and haven't received a confirmation email. How can I confirm my account?

Where can I find the budget template?

How much funding will be awarded?
Quality Insights expects to award $100,000 in total. We estimate eight to 15 awards in amounts up to $20,000.

What kind of agreement do I have to sign if I receive the grant?
Successful grantees will be expected to complete a grant agreement similar to the one linked. Be sure to check it out to understand the implications of receiving the grant.

Is there an allowable cap on facilities and administrative (F&A) costs?
There's no cap on this. The funds are somewhat limited, so you know you need to be conscious of that when you're putting in your application.
