An Exciting Opportunity to Improve Health Care Quality

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' Quality Innovation Network Quality Improvement Organization

Early this year, Quality Insights will apply for an opportunity to lead collaborative healthcare improvements under the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) program, one of the largest federal programs dedicated to improving the quality of health care at the community level. We hope to continue the important work we’re already doing in the newly-defined Mid-Atlantic CMS QIN-QIO Region 2, which includes Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

We look forward to collaborating with you on our shared goals and common priorities like promoting optimal health and well-being through improved quality of care, health equity, and outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries.

Quality Improvement through Collaboration

Quality Insights will work with providers across the care continuum – nursing homes, hospitals, clinician practices, and community organizations – to provide “hands on” implementation support and high value engagement in responding to provider needs actively and effectively.

We won’t re-create the wheel. We will use a model called A3C to approach each engagement with the intention of avoiding duplication of effort and relieving provider burden. We will Assess the needs, Coordinate efforts, Compliment work that’s already being done, and/or Create new tools and resources that meet provider and health facility needs.

We will approach the work with a patient-centered mindset, infusing human-centered design, health literacy and equity into all that we do.
